Enjoying some Samuel Gawith - Best Brown Flake in an Caminetto Potish shaped pipe. I can attest, unsurprisingly, Sam's Best Brown Flake is much better than Sam's Tastes Like Urinal Flakes. I think Sam used to drink when creating blends.

I’m just finishing the last of the OAP Mix sample in my Yello Bole, it’s really quite nice in a little bowl as a quickie.
I’m rubbing out some St James Mayors Sams Flake at the mo. A lot less Tonkin in this compared to 1792 but it does complement the Turkish nicely. I’m gonna take this one slowly.

Loaded up a couple of yard cobs with Cameron, a Pipes by George house blend, and haded outside to do some yard work.
Now smoking year 2016 D&R Three Sails in an undated straight brush etched black Molina apple with a nickel band and a black tapered vulcanite stem. Time to do some walking reps.

Very windy today, so why not some G.L. Pease Windjammer in a L&JS Ferndown Reo straight billiard. 
I did not find it great. It was very mild in taste and nicotine. This is how I imagine Orlik Golden Slice without the topping. It was sweet and got a bit bolder towards the end.
I don’t smoke much tobaccos of this genre, so I can’t quite compare, but I have the impression, that it’s a good Virginia Flake.
C&D va's are fairly complex but subtle in the flavor profile. Not so subtle on the tongue if you puff too hard. Try dedicating a pipe to Yorktown, it can really blossom that way?I’m having some C&D Yorktown in a bent Meer lined Lacroix 2️ at the mo, strangely enough for a straight Va I’m not getting any bite and I’m finding it far more complex than any other Va I’ve had so far. That could just be the lack of bite allowing me to get more out of the tobacco.
Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am a quarter of the way through the last of my stash of year 2018 Esoterica Blackpool in a 2003 medium bent Ural meer with a lined and etched egg shaped bowl with a silver band and a pearl brown acrylic saddle stem.
