Now smoking Wilke Beta Test #4XYZ in a 1980s black sandblasted slight bend Savory’s Argyll 281 Cherrywood with a black vulcanite tapered stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Working and listening to Escape on the XM.

Last smoke of the day is the last of this tin of Cobblestone Whiskey in a 1979 medium bend etch relief meerschaum lined TinderBox Arabesque with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Relaxing and listening to William Conrad in Gunsmoke.

Morning chaps, I started with some HU Dockworker in my little Yello Bole and now having some Reunion No27 Perique Flake in Christine. I don’t like to describe anything I own as dainty but here’s my 1939-49 Yello Bole next to my Donegal Rocky Bulldog. I must say however it’s a lovely little smoker. image.jpg

Half way through this bowl of circa year 2000 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.

I’m really getting my smoke on today, Kendal Exclusiv Black Cherry (the only tobacco I smoked for years) in the Ornsby Pipe. I don’t revisit this tobacco as much as I used to but it really is a perfect smoke, smooth, natural, not sweet or sticky and burns very dry for an American style Aromatic. If you’re a fan of Black Cherry blends I can’t recommend this enough but make sure you get the Kendal “Exclusiv” variety, there’s a big difference. I’m about done with this and I just have a nice dry ash at the bottom of the bowl. image.jpg

@Birddog66 I like the Black Cherry but the Cherry Vanilla is my favourite. My most memorable pipe smoking experience was while watching the Lace Wars re-enactment at Cromford Mill in 2019, almost a year ago, with a clay pipe of Gawith Hoggarth Cherry Vanilla!

A lovely morning out on the deck. Continuing the 40th bday weekend with a newly cracked jar of 2004 Gawith Hoggarth Dark Flake unscented in a GBD Conquest Pedigree that I bought at my first pipe show (Richmond CORPS) back in 2009. This blend has aged to perfection, and is nicely complimented with Bolivian coffee from the French press.
