Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. The rain sez I should stay inside, and not walk. I always lose these arguments.

Now smoking Samuel Gawith 1792/Cob Flake in an unfinished Savinelli Series III lumberman. I wonder why it's called 1792 and not Cob Flake here? Maybe they didn't want an association with corn cob pipes? But they have those in England, too, right, so what gives? Anyone know?

Just a guess, but I think it's because they assume British ppl know that Cob=big horse, but Americans think Cob=corncob pipe, and some sales rep probably suggested it should be changed to avoid association with cheaper economy tobaccos that drug stores used to push alongside MMs. Also, Americans are suckers for made up dates that prop up a legend or mythology of long standing history and quality, especially when it comes to tobacco and whisky. "It might seem weird, but it's been around for over 200 years for a reason"-type marketing.

Mixed up a 1:1ish blend of GH Kendal Gold Blueberry and Dark Bird's Eye last night. Smoking it now in a Masters Prince. I'll definitely be mixing a small jar of this to keep around.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of Ken Byron Ventures Yoshimi’s Scented Plug in a 2004 Stanwell EM 2004 black sandblasted straight billiard in a gold accent ring on the shank and gold “s” on the black tapered acrylic stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching Murder, My Sweet.

I made some spicy Sichuan pork belly with vegetable fried rice for the third day in row, it’s bloody good! I’ve found the best after dinner smoke for this is a good VaPer. So GH Reunion No27 Perique Flake in a Barling Sovereign and Ghost Ship Pale Ale. Feeling very content.
