This is a Galaher plug, so it's a bit different than the current Polish production. I was blessed by the @condorlover1 himself with this lil brick of hard-to-find magic. I find the long cut flake to be quite a bit milder in both topping and nicotine punch. The plug is jet black and very dense, so I believe it stays in the hot press quite a bit longer. Long cut burns more like a typical Lakeland, where the plug takes a bit more care to keep lit.
Thanks, I’m about to order some long cut among other goodies.

Received my bday gift today in the mail (Castello Old Antiquari shape 55). Breaking it in with Ken Byron Ventures Mycroft ‘21. Loving the nice wide open draw and despite the big bowl, it really is quite light when sitting in the mouth. Irish coffee on the side and Bing Crosby’s “Top O’ The Morning: His Irish Collection” on the Bluetooth speaker!

I’ve been smoking the GH Reunion tobaccos mostly today but I’m putting the rest away for a while to see what some age does before I commit to bulk.
I’m now having some Peterson 2019 Special Reserve in a 69 Donegal Rocky bent billiard. Going to have some more Skiff mix before bed in Christine. I have a late night ahead so I imagine there’ll be more coming.
Can’t stand Irish whiskey (Jameson especially) I’m afraid so I’m drinking XO Brandy and Guinness instead. A little McChrystals Aztec snuff too just as a booster.

Late 19th - early 20th cent. CM into an oval beneath a crown on the shank
CM (Charles Leopold Maas trading as Charles Maas & Co. 13, Jewin Crescent later 1a, Aldermanbury Avenue, London and Vienna - tobacco pipe manufacturers and dealers)
and MIGNONETTE stamped on the electro-plated ferrule - the ferrule unusually attached to the stem instead of to the shank
