Well kids, gather round old uncle Haunted and I'll tell you about the most glorious cross over blend ever made. It was conjured deep deep deep in my minds eye on day long ago...ok, it was just last Sunday when I saw lukasstrifeson had a 500 gram bag of Gawith, Hoggarth & Company Exclusive Black Cherry for sale. I've dealt with him before and he always ships fast. He also sells for a very reasonable price. You remember reasonable prices, dont cha kids - from back in the days before some nefarious hoarders decided to make buying some of your favorite blends feel like a prostate exam with a rusty spiked gauntlet?
Any way I thought it might make a good mixer. After all, GH&Co. (I ain't typing it all out again. If you hate abbreviations, get over it. Even they abbreviate the Co. so I should feel no umbrage for doing so.) does everything else well, why not a Cherry? I thought it might work with some of their ropes and Dark Plug for a nice dash of flavor. I know ol uncle Haunted may sometimes seem like he has a screw loose from time to time but there is more going on up here than you know. Heck, every now and then even a monkey with a baseball bat hits a homerun.
So tonight I'm enjoying a mix of it, about 30% Cherry and it's sensational. I'm thinking of calling it Beckinsale - it's that beautiful. I wonder if she'll read this and feel so honored that she falls in love with the tender soul writing this and she drops every thing and comes here to Chicago and carries me away. Strike that. I don't like super strong women (unless they are firemen and I'm in a burning house crying like school girl. I mean a marine, crying like marine! And they have to carry my portly ass out. Then strong women are ok.). Anyways. The wife feels her chances of losing me to Kate are pretty slim. I hate it when she gets cocky. So anyway kids, try the mix!

I too enjoy blending a pinch of G&H Black Cherry with other stuff! My favorite crossover is 30% SG Firedance Flake with pretty much any medium Balkan. Right now I'm smoking a parfait of Orlik Golden Sliced topped up with Firedance. Works pretty well imho!
Half way through this bowl of C&D Visions of Celephais in a 2003 medium bent Ural meer with a lined and etched egg shaped bowl with a brown pearl acrylic saddle stem. This will get me to dinner time.

The FD/Balkan blend reminds me of more flavorful and refined version of Revelation. The mix of FD/OGS is basically Firedance light. I really dig it!
