Waiting for balmy 75 on Thursday as cold front moves in !! I don't think it matters if you smoke briar, meerschaum or corncob in this heat; I don't believe its possible to achieve cool and dry. Therefore quick Vitamin N and done. Plus the air quality is bad for breathing.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Nightwish, neat, is my drink. Yesterday, I took a current photo of this 4AB. I was looking at the pipe later, and realized the photo was too dark and not an accurate representation of the 4AB. This new photo still isn't quite accurate, but it's mighty close to being so.

Cats do love the heat, and most are tropical animals. Exceptions are the cougar, bobcat and lynx up north which actively hunt in the coldest of weather, and of course the Sabre Tooth, which I'm frankly glad is extinct, except I'd want one on my wall. Abner could be out hunting right now, eagerly! That's a really nice pipe, too. Very sturdy and masculine.

Found this quite funny . . . I clean my hunting guns rarely, cuz they usually only get shot twice a season, a sighter and a shooter. My handloaded ammo for both my .270 and .22-250 are all Barnes XXX, and I have only about 6 or 8 rounds left in the only two boxes I've ever put together. Nuff to last me a few more years.

Target guns are an entirely different story however. Thanks for the delightful historical post. Just great!

Just an excellent post - wonderful photo and the cat goes with the meer bowl perfectly. Have a meer-lined bowl for my Falcons, which I like, but not yet a full meer. Like this "golf ball" design, which also suits the cat and it's expression to a "T" Lots of fun posts today that have made my day. This one takes the Kewpie Doll!

Yes, it does. I'll be posting a photo late tonight that may be of interest that itemizes my posting problem with respect to color accuracy and density. The new photo is the keeper, and lets the pipe show it's changing patina perfectly.
