I think its a tamper. but it was stuck (the pipe was never used for 15 years). I will need to send it to a pipe maker to remove the tamper.

Might try putting it in the refrigerator or freezer til it gets cold which just might shrink the tamper enough to remove it. Remove the stem before doing so. This has worked for me more than once on very snug items.

Unexpected car and house expenses has done a number on my PAD. I am paying off 2 Manduelas but probably won’t finish till Jan first ‘25.
