Last year on this day we made our way to Killarney after an anniversary weekend near Tralee. So, a wee dram of C&D ‘23 St. Patrick’s Day Reserve in a Peterson St. Patrick’s Day 2023 No. 68, a favorite shape. Puppy zooming about the basement with the wife so I’ve got our other dog and the one we are “dog sitting” for one of our daughters with me on another incredible evening on the deck. Iced tea and a little lemonade.

Forgot how much I enjoyed Ennerdale, I decided to go with the “mixture” since the recent 2 ounce batch I bought was so good. This stuff is just as potent!

Smoking in a Bones billiard - to none pipe smokers this probably looks like rubbish, but to a pipe smoker, this pile of twisted up flakes is pure eye candy!

Finally a day when I didn't bring any work home!

I put a 2.5 Lb section of pork loin with a mustard wet rub in the smoker and I'm now relaxing with some Squadron Leader in a sandblasted acorn (also a tulip) by Maigurs Knets with a glass of A. De Fussigny VSOP Grande Champagne Cognac:

Now smoking New Watch City Beta Test in a 1980s SMS eagle claw egg medium bend meerschaum signed by Ismail Baglan with a brown and cream swirl acrylic stem. Watching the Braves-Tigers game. The black cat is here, hungry for food and attention. M'lady suggested naming him "Abner" after the co-lead character in the old Lum and Abner radio show, which is a fav of mine. I'm thinking that one over.

I'm close to finishing this bowl of year 2012 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.
