Now smoking Sutliff States of Virginia Limited Edition ’23 in a 2002 smooth natural straight silver banded Ardor Venere Extra Fatta A Mano Maigret billiard, signed by Dorelio Rovera with a tapered black acrylic stem. I took an equal amount of all three crumble cakes and blended them together in my best straight Virginia pipe. This goes on sale at 6 pm today. I reviewed it at TR.

Do you ever buy a pipe and then not smoke it for some reason? I bought this beauty, a Lorenzo Grand Canadian, some months back but just didn't have it in my rotation. Lit it up this afternoon and it smokes well, perhaps the draw is a little tight, but the feel of it is wonderful.

Just getting over the worst cold I've had in the past twelve years (coincidently?, when I moved to Florida); Royal Yacht has been a gentle source of tobacco pleasure the past week no doubt speeding recovery.

Took another afternoon off to keep after some garden work and help with the pup. Now in the rocker with a Nording combo - Hunter Ostrich pipe and Hunter Retriever tobacco. The new crinkle beaver is a hit. This has always been one of my best pipes - no idea why, just always delivers.

I am breaking in a new pipe today with Dorchester. The pipe is a chimney that I noticed in one of @Pipe&Chess posts. Turns out it is a 50th Anniversary pipe from the Danish Pipe Shop referred to as The Dan Pipe shape.

You could call it a straight bent or a reverse cant , depending on how you see it. It is intended to be affordable. There is a write up on its story here: The Dan Pipe Shape

Lane 1-Q in the vauen Olaf bent egg. I was sipping so slowly the person I was with didn't even know my pipe was lit. There was no noticeable smoke but tons of flavor with each sip. I've been practicing slow smoking since reading @cosmicfolklore's post in March and today I nailed it ! I can't imagine puffing hot now.
