10 year-old Penzance in a Brebbia slim billiard "Serie 1960" that I bought at the old Barclay Rex shop on Lexington Avenue in New York City. I also bought the Penzance at Barclay Rex at their other shop on 42nd Street (both shops now closed). I remember walking into the shop and spotting the bags of Esoterica they had just put out. The clerks looked at me like "you lucky dog!" My timing was good. I took the bag home and jarred up the Penzance. I have been smoking from that jar ever since. Now about 2/3 of the way through. It's turned almost black in color. Smooth and mellow. A real treat a few times a year. PENZANCE.jpg

Post lunch smoke of tasty El Rincon de la Pipa No.1 in the pre-Cadogan Comoy's Sandblast medium billiard, after returning from the local Sunday Cars and Coffee get together. At the C&C one of the fellows gifted to another a beautiful, fully functioning, made in Japan, "Royal Musical MR-500" butane lighter with complete box and instructions, etc. Plays a nice little tune when you 'light up.'

Did a set of walking reps, and smoked a bowl of KBV Fore Glory! 2023 (Golf) beta in a 2003 medium bent Ural meer with a lined and etched egg shaped bowl with a silver band and a pearl brown acrylic saddle stem. Just finished enjoying a tall stack of cinnamon raisin French toast with a golden delicious apple and unsalted peanuts on the side.

The last third or so of a Quorum Shade Toro, in Gianetta The No-Name Briar. I'm a genius, gonna be doing this from now on.View attachment 225940

I sometimes smoke the last bit of a yummy/rare cigar in some of my cheroot pipes when I don’t want anything to go to waste. I sometimes think I should do it all the time since a good percentage of cigar gets wasted; but after two hours of smoking, the ends are usually pretty loaded with tars, etc., and the cigar is pretty well done.

Half way through this bowl of Pfeifen Huber Virginia Golden Flake in a 1938 smooth straight brown patent Dunhill R 115 bowling ball apple with a tapered cumberland stem. This smoke will be interrupted by a couple of freshly made cheese burgers. George Russell Fog Lifter, neat, is my drink. My weekly Sunday zoom starts at the top of the hour.
