Received an unequivocal ass-whooping in Scrabble courtesy of wifey, so went outside with a bowl of Drew Estate Gatsby Luxury Flake in my Savinelli Porto Cervo 122 bent pot and a cup of coffee to recover my composure. I'd won the previous three or four rounds, so I was due to get clobbered, I guess.

Bird report: California scrub-jay, California towhee, Oak titmouse, Common raven, Eurasian collared dove, California kingbird, California quail, House finch, and White-breasted nuthatch. More thunderstorms coming down the chute.

I love Scrabble. Nice to read about you and your wife playing it. I can't get anyone near me to play Scabble. Enjoy sir!

Went for a late afternoon lunting in the woods w/wifey & mustang. The stream is still running, but the grass has all gone to seed. The free grazing was nice while it lasted! At least the monsoon rains will keep it from turning brown (read: flammable). Had SWRA in my MM Dagner Poker.

Bird report: California quail, California scrub-jay, California towhee, House finch, Common raven, Red-tailed hawk, and Northern flicker.

Hard to enjoy when you lose 289 to 350...those triple word scores kill me! :ROFLMAO: But it's a fun bonding activity nonetheless. Hope you find a playing partner sometime!

I love to play Scrabble. My mom is a serious and accomplished player. I never could manage to win a game over the years. Later in life she came to visit us for a week. We played several games. One evening, I got all the tiles I needed at the right time. I won by 5 points! She was speechless. Needless to say I’ve not won another game since. My wife and I focus on Cribbage- keep score for the whole year.

Just over a third of a bowl left of Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend.
