Going to have Esoterica And So to Bed (2021) in a GBD Churchwarden with French hallmarks that is stamped "A La Havane Grenoble" on the right side of its shank (my guess is this was a tobacco shop in Grenoble). If anyone has a decent guesstimate on the date of this pipe, please chime in. I took one look at the birdseye on this and knew I had to have it.

Enjoyed one of the world's latest lunches, and am close to finishing this bowl of year 1923 Velvet in a smooth brown medium bend early 1900s C.P.F. The Chesterfield (Peterson copy) French briar military mount billiard with a nickel cap and black vulcanite AB p-lip stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Earlier today I smoked St Bruno RR in a Peterson rusticated Standard System 317. Now C&D Derringer in the same pipe. I have a vintage 317 that was my Ulster grandfathers pipe, but as he was a bit aggressive with his penknife, I bought a new one and it smokes beautifully. Not too small a chamber as some have posited. A great pipe!
When you hit your limit of gorgeous women send a few my way.

After so much heat and dryness, the skies turned dark this afternoon and there was RAIN here in central Texas.

I celebrated with a bit of GLP Quiet NIghts in one of my favorite pipes, a diminutive little KB&B Blue Line bulldog with Bakelite stem. There may have been a little bootleg tequila along for the ride, too.

Cheers and good evening all! 73º feels heavenly after so many days of 100º +.
