I'm not an Ehrlich expert by any stretch or even an aficionado ... in fact yours is the first I've seen soAn Ehrlich Bulldog with, as you may be able to see, a meerschaum bowl, packed with G.L. Pease Maltese Falcon. The pipe smokes great and, interestingly, the initials of the artisan, in this case FBM, appears on the top of the stem. If there are any Ehrlich experts out there, let me know about it. The Falcon is only okay, not as good as his Westminster but still smokable.
.
I can't help with the "FBM" stamp on the stem but glancing through the catalogue below I'd suggest the stamp is the initials of a previous owner
If there's a "GB" stamp on the shank it's for George Bushee, carver
RE: GEORGE BUSHEE - from Pipedia,
"I read your article regarding the David P. Ehrlich Co. and definitely feel the need to make comment on your history of the company.
It is true the Ehrlich’s began in 1868; however, the company continued in retail business into the 2000’s. I know this as fact as I was the Assistant General Manager/Buyer until I left in 1984 to pursue a graduate degree.
In 1980 I represented Ehrlich’s at the Dunhill Principal Pipe Dealers Conference in London.
My father, Ehrlich Pipemaker/Pipe Repairman, George Bushee retired from Ehrlich’s in 1986 and continued making handmade briar pipes for Ehrlich’s at his home for a few more years.
Sincerely Richard Bushee"

The 1960-1961 Ehrlich catalogue may be of interest

From the catalogue, the one diagram of particular interest to me is of this stem ...
... reminding me as it does of the stem of my "MP" pipe
