Now smoking year 2013 Stonehaven in a straight black sandblasted pre-transition Barling Exel 249 Fossil T.V.F. black billiard with a silver banded military mount and a black ebonite tapered stem. My favorite pipe. Need to take a better photo of this pipe.

According to this paper from 1925/1926 the patent is for "Tobacco pipes with arrangements for cleaning or cooling the smoke with absorbent linings"

According to Pipephil.eu
"Dadson was a brand of H.H. Dadson & Co. (Shaw, Son and Co.). They distributed a patent system pipe (Pat N° stamped on the shank) very similar to Dunhill's Dry-Way"

Looks like a similar arrangement to what Falcon would do in metal a few years later in 1936
