Just got a new Tim West billiard in the mail. Old West Briar, NOS, 50+ year old Algerian briar should meet with the approval of Mr @Briar Lee. The rustication and finish look great out in the sunshine. Going to give this one a go right outta the box with some 2013 Jack Knife.

I'm part way through this bowl of year 2014 Full Virginia Flake in a straight 1968 Dunhill Shell bulldog with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching the second part of the Billy Joel documentary.

Yes it is. It was from a Dear friend and it only gets occasional use and dedicated to Capstan Blue only.
In 1985 I got my first tin of Capstan from my local B&M and really liked it but I smoked mostly codger and house blends due to being a teen and the cost. Then in 1990- 1991 I smoked nothing but Capstan full time while deployed and it sunk in pretty hard with me. I figured with the memories I have associated with Capstan and this being my most sentimental pipe they deserved each other. Capstan back then was hard to acquire and wasn’t like it is now with being able to get it easily. I hope this recent change keeps it going so I can continue to add more to the cellar.

Talking about my dad and his pipes earlier has me breaking out the one I recall him smoking the most-his Royal Danish 988 billiard.
As with most of his pipes, the chamber is larger than I usually opt for (this one is .81”x1.7”), so I stuffed it with my Dark Sails mix.

I dig that pipe. LB sized and wonderful shape. It’s screaming for some Exclusive or Davidoff Medallions.

A third of a bowl left of year 2020 Pfeifen Huber Virginia Golden Flake in a 1938 smooth straight brown patent Dunhill R 115 bowling ball apple with a tapered cumberland stem.
Now I'm on some Billy Budd in a Digby Pot. Pizza turned out pretty good, cheers to that!
