Just returned home from a nice day of riding the motorcycle and visiting an old friend. Had a cigar while there and dinner upon my return. Time for an after dinner pipe.

Now smoking year 2022 unreleased Sutliff Brown Virginia Flake in a 1920s medium bend smooth dark brown BBB Umbra bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem with an orific bit. Might end the day early.
Smoking Cherokee Red Premium with some Dunhill Elizabethan Mixture blended in out of my Ashton Achievement Dublin. This is the extent of my blending abilities. Flavor is not too bad out of a large pipe with an open draw.
GH Glengarry Flake in a ‘74 Group 2 Root Briar 654.

Called in to clear streets and did so with some R McConnell Scottish Cake in the Peterson 102 Short Army.

Match Flying Dutchman in an estate COB! This pipe was on a rack with a matching mate, and after I cleaned it up and got it ready, it smokes wonderfully. The stem is either a harder plastic than MM's or something almost Lucite.
Smoking Arango Balkan Supreme in a Lorenzo VIP. This pipe was gifted to me by my buddy Chopper. It's a fine smoker and it fits the teeth just right. A Coors Light is my drink, as I enjoy the late night silence.
Special Virginia in a clay. Feeling a bit tired a few beers yesterday; I don't like the after effects of drinking ale & I don't think drinking ale in the evenings before going to bed is a very good idea as it disrupts sleep. Got bought a pint yesterday.

Interesting experiment this morning. Having opened a fresh tin of Germain SLF a couple of days back, I'd had a couple of nice but unremarkable smokes in my Peterson Bulldog, then another in it yesterday that was a nightmare of relights. This morning, I tried it in the Cara Prince - I've finished my very flavorful 8 year aged SLF, so I wanted to extract more flavour from the fresh in my flake pipe. Verdict: meh. In the jar it had gone, if I'm still kicking in a couple of years, I'll try again.
