Kendal Plug/Black XX in the Color Duke finished up the chores.
Gotta load up the lunchbox tins and prepare for Monday.
Impending thunderstorms collapsed into just widespread lightning, light rain and breezes, typical AZ stuff-just enough to make the windshields ugly for the morning commute probably.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and have passed the first quarter of this bowl of Wilke Little Round Top in an undated straight smooth brown pre-Republic Peterson’s Sterling bulldog 150 with a sterling silver band and a black vulcanite saddle p-lip stem. It's time to check on the ferals.

Tonight, I opened my recently received tin of GLP Key Largo and packed it in my Falcon.
This is a blend I have been curious about for some time now and I was very pleased with it.
It had a very creamy smoke that was very pleasant. I noticed a bright, dry hay undertone and an earthy sweetness much like a good maduro with hints of leather and black coffee. At the end a slight bit of nicotine became apparent, just enough to let you know it was there.
The only negative was I noticed a slight bitter aftertaste, but I think that as this has a chance to "breathe" a bit that will dissipate.
It took readily to flame and developed a perfect ember very quickly, burned perfectly and stayed relatively cool throughout. Just past the halfway point I dumped a bit of the accumulated ash and touched up the edges a bit but that was all the correction it needed.
I have a wide-chambered bulldog that I think I will try this in next.

On a side note, I think this would pair very well with a good quality sipping rum.

Well, a class act for my evening smoke. My prize Savenelli, coupled with one of the finest Oriental blends I know, a blend that I liked from the first, and still is in my top 3 of this category, Amphora Absolute, or in the States, known as Amphora Rich, I believe. The Sav is not entirely broken in, but I enjoyed a long, flavourful smoke with so many notes it's hard to believe. An extremely responsive pipe with more notes to come when it reaches a real cake stage. The best smoke I've had so far from this striking pipe.

Gonna take a break from everything but Pirate Kake and a cigar or two for two or three days and give my beleagured tongue a rest from all this bowl breaking.

Don't know what pipe I'll be smoking tomorrow, but I assume it'll be one of the well broken in miniatures.

Did a little low calorie snacking, and am half way through this bowl of 2018 Sutliff Walnut Match in a 1990s smooth brown medium bend briar calabash shaped Butz-Choquin Maitre Pipier JR Fait Main with a horn ferrule and a black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Daisy the Feral Princess wouldn't come to me when I went outside to get her, but when I walked to the driveway to see what turned on the motion light, she was right with me. I didn't see anything, so I took the opportunity to pick up her over weight self, and brought her inside to eat. She ate plenty before going to the sofa to snooze. She kept staring at me because her blanket wasn't there, so I had to get it out of dryer. Once I set it down, she jumped on to it, and immediately went to sleep. Harry the Hairy was nasty to Tomato the Brave when I put him back outside. Tomato did stand his ground until I got between them, and he ran off. Harry's been laying on the doormat since then as if to advertise his dominance. Harry's not smart, but he is fiercely loyal to me. For his own sake, I wish he had a home where he could share and receive affection in a single cat home.
