Tin foil on the humidor lid?

It is a marble jar, I use it for the rotation of C&D Byzantium. Yes, the lid is made of wood, so I'm worried that it will be a breeding ground for mold and mildew. That's why I put aluminum on it, which I change from time to time. And so far, I haven't had any problems with mold or other pathogens. I am not sure, but I believe that aluminum will not affect tobacco.

Starting off my smoking day with a bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.
