Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and green beans dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm passing the half way mark on this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Getting ready to clean a few pipes.

'17 RO Firestorm in this little chin-tickler stamped "Bruyere Garantie". Not even 100% on the stem stamp... could be IRC or IRD.
Anyone? Bueller?

Jeez I'm on an Oom Paul kick.

That’s spelled Bruyere, that is how some French spell Briar.

This article says the Bruyere Garantie are French made by Vuillard & Strauss Ltd.

https://vkpipes.com/pipeline/bruyer... Vuillard & Strauss,are “Bruyere \ GARANTIE”.

Garantie is French for guarantee. So it’s Briar Guaranteed the stamping. :)

G.L. Pease Bankside in a 1901 Sam McLardy & Co. Meerschaum with a vulcanite stem.

I dried this one fairly crispy this time, only took 30 minutes, and what a different beast, really amazing different profile/notes.

I’ve only started smoking it, but it comes across dried crispy like VA/Oriental, the Kentucky for me takes on more of an Oriental style, which is interesting. At the beginning of this bowl I get no Latakia, I’m assuming the extra drying either killed it off, or placed it so far in the back, it’s just intertwined in the other leaf, adding different notes. hmm 🤔

@Ben.R.C If you’ve never dried this one pretty crisp, give it a go, since I know you like this blend.

Be well everyone! ❤️
