Well that’s unfortunate (or lucky, lol) - rain stopped and I just fired up some Wilke Cherry Cavendish in a Peterson Natural Deluxe 9S. Would be a shame to waste it, so I’m going to keep reading in the garage for a bit, rather than run out and dig more holes.

Haunted Bookshop in the little briar. You've seen the pipe a hundred times, so I won't bother with a pic. It smokes well, and I love this tobacco. In a small pipe. Gives me some serious spins if I get too much of it. Have a great day everybody
Back from running errands. Smoked a bowl of SWRA in a straight black sandblast undated Savinelli Hercules 115EX pot with a tapered black vulcanite stem.
Intellectually, I know that—I think my gut reaction was related to the practice of storing ammo in a cool dry place and away from heat; seeing the smoking pipe triggered (so to speak) the thought of heat near gunpowder and sparked a vision of a news report of a tragedy involving a lit pipe and live ammo. If I stopped and thought before posting, I wouldn’t have commented.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of Seattle Pipe Club Down Yonder in a straight black 1963 Dunhill LBS Shell 4S billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem.
Still in the garage now 74 minutes into the promised call back in 50 minutes from Bestop customer service regarding an order snafu. So … Bankside in a Dunhill Tanshell “tall” billiard. Now that I know how, I need to touch up the stem!

Inaugural smoke in this thing - Miskatonic Mixture. So far so good, a delight. Puffing on it before lighting I was met with the strongest briar flavor I've ever tasted. Very nice.
Started the day with some Briar Fox in a cob before spending the day running errands. Now having some Bayou Morning in a cob.
