Family lunch today so a late start to the pipe session.
Hence 2 small group 1 pipes

A 1970 group 1 Dunhill Apple shape no 110 F/T with a tapered stem. Buttered finish
A generous graduation gift from one of my classmates.

A melange of GLP Stonehenge, Sam Gawith’s St Jame’s Flake and Former’s Straight Grain Flake (leftovers from previous smokes). Cube cut.

The 1st smoke in the Group Dunhill lasted over 45mins
with no relights.
Cube cut flakes do smoke more slowly than rubbing out

My next smoke is in a similarly sized group 1 1914 straight Bulldog, tapered stem with an orific bit. Measuring 4 1/4ins in length.
London hallmarks AD over JD for Auguste and Joseph Delacour

Finishing the melange of Stonehenge, St James and Former’s Straight Grain flakes (cube cut)
A very pleasant mix, as it turns out

Davidoff Flake Medallions from a new tin in a S.T. Dupont de Paris pipe. My latest purchase.
It arrived by mail yesterday. I did some cleaning with ethanol 98%, some polishing with a cloth and Dunhill pipe bowl and mouthpiece polish and it already looks great again.
