I love it as a change of pace. I hate the prep though.
I preped it in six steps today, one of which was to cut my finger
Step 1- Put the twist on a chopping board
Step 2- Cut it into a few pieces with Opinel Carbone
Step 3 - Chop into finer bits with Swiss Army Knife
Step 4- Cut my finger. Not really good at this
Step 5 - Decide that Swiss Army Knife is really not suitable for this, so put it away and get the Opinel again to chop into fine bits
Step 6- Put a couple of bowlful to dry on a filter paper to be smoked soon
I need a pipe but I’m trapped by cats! I need to give them a snack soon and will make my escape.

Mallard Flake plus Perique in a Canadian Peterson
I need to smoke a bit more of both but my initial reaction is HH Latakia Flake is a better nic hit but HH Balkan Blend is a better overall blend. They are both worth trying though.
Passing the first third of this bowl of year 2018 Mac Baren Acadian Perique in a straight smooth brown 1933-36 KBB Yello-Bole Honey Cured Briar 2384 Acorn with a tapered yellow rock ambra stem.
This Missouri Meerschaum MacArthur Cob will probably not last long. It has a manufacturing defect and has started to crack. But I will make the most of it while it lasts - Smoking some Sutliff Crème Brûlée
Temperatures have finally dropped here, so the Virginias go back on the shelf to be replaced tonight by G. L. Pease’s Quiet Nights in a Washington Cob
I think you should love it. Now that you're liberated, enjoy the blend.
Just got some Quiet nights, I’ll,probably crack it tomorrow. How are you finding it?
Wessex Gold Virginia Flake in a Rubio.
I’ll be the first to admit I’ve got a palate so poor I might as well not have been gifted with a tongue, but I really enjoy this blend - it’s pretty quickly become a must-have for me. I find it very rich without being overwhelming, the nicotine hit is light (which I prefer), and it’s got this incredible woodsy, peaty element that reminds me of sitting around a campfire on crisp mornings. Bold, exotic, but never feels “too much” for me like some of the really Latakia heavy blends can get. I regret only buying one tin, I’ll absolutely be stocking up on this one next time I place an order.

cshubhra, some of the folk on this forum use a small coffee or vegetable grinder to do the job. Maybe a good alternative to damaged digits.
