Downtown Durham used to be pretty seedy, it’s almost too nice now, good eats, coffee, etc. I worked down there for a decade till I found a WFH gig.

I'm almost half way through this bowl of Seattle Pipe Club Hogshead in a well appreciated medium bend, smooth brown 1950s Peterson 999 Dublin chubby Rhodesian with a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching the RedSox-Mets game.

Somehow my wife and I made it through 2019-2020 without getting Covid, but shortly after the Fourth of July it nailed us. I’ve refrained from smoking but I need a bowl!
My smallest chambered pipe is a Brulor Mowbray from the ‘50’s so I’m stuffing it with Derringer.
I’ll post more when I’m back up to speed.

I remember Durham in the 70s and they have turned things around and they did a fabulous job doing it. Drastic changes again since the 90s
And it’s become a serious hot spot.
