@jaytex1969 I've smoked a few packets of St Bruno Ready Rubbed in my clay pipes; I see that Smokingpipes.com sell it at about half the price of a packet of pipe baccy in the UK. Should I get some when I order from them again???
I think it's one of the classics; as it's been around since the late 19th century do you think it would suit a clay pipe?
The slow smoking competition uses St Bruno Ready Rubbed; I'd like to see how long I can make a clay pipe of baccy last without relighting...
One of the re-enactments would be a good time to try...

Should I get some

You should get some. It's a nice any time tobacco, in my opinion.

I can't tell you how it would be in a clay. I have a clay but I rarely pull it out, as I break things easily.

That said, the blends I've smoked in the clay didn't seem to vary in flavor very much from the way they smoked in briar.

As one of our dedicated clay pipe users, you should get some and then share your findings with us!

Half way through this bowl of Wilke No. 72 in a pre-1974 dark brown straight Larus & Brother Co. Signature billiard with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem with the initials LCR on the top of the stem. This blend was smoked by Walter Cronkite. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Close to finishing this bowl of Prince Albert in a straight smooth walnut 1927 KBB Kaywoodie Drinkless 86 dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This model was only made in 1927. I did finish work for the day.

We don’t take that kind of shit here in Tennessee!
@petes03 Yet there seems to be a lot of crime and unemployment in Tennessee; I'm unsure of its UK equivalent but I read that Memphis was a shipping area and although routed in the slave trade, if they hadn't been slave descended they'd still have been dockers...
But this African ancestry gave the Deep South the jazz music culture it's famous for...
It's also the home of Elvis and Graceland...
I would say Chattanooga's UK equivalent would be Derby or Swindon as these are former railway towns with government funded car factories.
Not sure what Tennessee's UK equivalent would be...
