Good Night Folks, Nightcap in a Dracula.
Beautiful piece of briar and the stem matches perfectly. Very nice job.
I was born in Altoona too! Moved to Pittsburgh some 35 years ago, but still visit. Now they have the Altoona Curve, the Pirates AA team, based in Lakemont Park if you remember that. My dad worked the rail yards for PRR, then Penn Central, then retired when it became Conrail. It was a train town then, as I'm sure you recall. The Pirates were my childhood team, being born in Altoona. I still follow them even thought management never cares if they win. Guess I'm a glutton for punishment.
Wow! I had no idea you were from Altoona. I remember Lakemont Park. We lived on Eighth Avenue, not far behind the Mallo Cup factory. Anybody who's never seen the Altoona Curve section of railroad should Google it!I was born in Altoona too! I know exactly where you mean (who from Altoona wouldn't know where the Mallo Cup factory is haha). Small world Jim! Back in the day, Lakemont Park was where the "after-school social" was held in early summer. Junior High, High School, whatever, that was the event of the year. Good memories. Agreed on the curve but I think only railroad enthusiasts would be interested. Take care Jim!Wow! I had no idea you were from Altoona. I remember Lakemont Park. Flavourwise, ya it's a bomb for sure, definitely not an all day blend haha. 40-60% Kentucky or strong burley is around where I like for nic strength(unless it's got perique as well) This one isn't too powerful by my standards.I would have thought that packed quite a punch.
