You must be sitting on a good amount of Chenet's Cake. I have a few 1 year old tins in the deep cellar. Trying my best to wait it out as the blend notes suggest a decade for best results, but I think I'll probably pry one open way early to give it a shot.
I can’t keep enough around to age, I doubt anyone tested that 10 year mark.

Earlier, I smoked a bowl of year 2014 Dan Tobacco Hamborger Veermaster in a smooth straight brown 1950 Dunhill 48 bulldog group 4 root briar with a black vulcanite fish tail saddle stem.

Currently, I have about a third of a bowl left of year 2012 Dunhill Royal Yacht in a 1970s smooth brown slight bend GBD International 9665 dublin rough top sitter with a flat bottom and a black vulcanite saddle stem.

I just finished a pipe of Rattray's Exotic Passion, normally a fantastic blend, but this was from a tin I purchased some time ago and forgot to jar up (which is a must because they're not sealed) and it was nearly awful. It was quite dry. I will have to try to rehydrate it, which amazingly I've never had to attempt before.
EZPZ, put in a jar, moisten a paper towel and drape it over the top. Screw on lid and wait. This can take 1-3 days w/ a little stirring or flipping every day. Remoisten towel as it dries. Voila. :)

Finally back to the smoking lounge after a long day in Seattle. Happy to be back to the variety on the shelves...
