Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2000 VaPer Three Nuns in a 1938 straight black grain relief Dunhill OX Shell bulldog with a silver band repair with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Gold Star Nightwish, neat, is my drink. Fed Harry the Hairy and gave him some attention before he went back outside. Have not seen Abner the Eager. Tomato the Brave is bathing himself on Daisy the Feral Princess' blanket. Guess the warm spot she left when she went to the kitchen to eat was too good for Tomato to pass up.

First impressions, I have to like the looks of a pipe and for me it passes that test, I’m all over the place with different styles of pipes. This pipe is also light in weight and the draw is excellent. The first smoke was an aromatic, it smoked very dry, so far I am impressed. I travel with my pipes a lot and I think my falcon will be perfect for that, especially camping. Thanks for asking @Chasing Embers
Same here, the Falcon is a perfect travel pipe. Mine lives in my truck with a couple spare bowls.

Bought me some Brown X but am chicken to try it. :ROFLMAO: Have some Black X and it's one of the stranger smokes I've ever had. Truly tasted like meat to me. I've read it needs some time, so I sliced it and jarred it up.
Brown Irish X is definitely different than Black but just as strong. I like brown better than black except for those once in a lifetime urges I get to just grab the grate off my Weber and give it a long wet lick lol

In case you missed it this is from a previous post.

I have several Savinelli filter pipes I use to smoke an occasional aromatic. Here's how to save money on the filters. Instead of buying the actual filters. I go on ebay and buy a pack of balsa wood rods in the right size (3/16x1/8") and cut them to length and that's it. Cost is about 10% the cost of filters and they work just as well. A tip: if you cut the ends on a slight angle the pipe draws better. puffy

Thank you so much for the tip. I just started using balsa wood filters in my Savs (6mm). I found these on ebay, is it similar to what you buy?

Last night- shared some 2002 Christmas Cheer with my Brother while sipping some Red Breast Whiskey. I Used the Pete Derry 106
Now I’m smoking some Evening Flake in the Pete Derry 106 while waiting for Mom to get ready to go my brothers for a BBQ.
This SoCal weather is fine smoking weather except the wind.

Enjoyed a bowl of OJK in my 1961 252 shell billiard while the sunshine warmed the mountain air.
