Clay pipe making workshop at Ironbridge in September:
I'd like to have a go at making a Clay:)
If I went it would involve 2 nights stopover; looks an interesting place to explore!
Sounds like a trip you should make!

Having roughly equal amounts of the three parts of Sutliff States of Virginia: Stoved/Yellow/Red, Sutliff Private Stock Limited Edition in a bit of an oddity of a Savinelli Diplomat with an oval shank. This pipe is from the Angelo Savinelli side of the family in Genova/Genoa (as opposed to the more well known Achille Savinelli in Milano/Milan). This pipe is stamped “TRIAL SAVINELLI GENOVA” and ”LONDON BRIAR” on the shank, and ”ITALY” on the stem. So, I guess it qualifies as Brit wood? I’m not sure if the pipe is from the Angelo Savinelli period, Ferruccio, or Giorgio Savinelli era (Giorgio died in 2012 at the age of 87, last member of the Ligurian branch of the family). If it was Ferruccio, it probably would’ve been stamped “F. Savinelli.” This branch of the family had their shop at 31 Galleria Mazzini.
