I’m breaking out a dinosaur. This is an old Jobey pipe that was given to me (like a fruit cake) unsmoked a number of years ago. Instead of re-gifting it, I decided to keep it around. I figured it could be used (by someone else) when someone wanted to try smoking a pipe. Since then, this pipe has only been smoked 5 or 6 times. The bit is uncomfortable and the draw very restricted. A regular pipe cleaner almost has to be greased to get it into the airway. None the less, it was meant to be smoked, so I’m now loading it up with G&H Brown Flake Aromatic and giving it a go. Not a bad looking pipe, though.IMG_0875.jpeg

Couldn't sleep, so I'm up and have passed the first third of this bowl of Watch City Original Crumb Cut in a 1950s-60s straight smooth brown Bertram 07 octagonal paneled billiard with a square shank and a tapered black vulcanite stem. M'lady already fed our cats, and Daisy the Feral Princess. The only other feral who was around was Harry the Hairy, and I fed him outside.

I have a jar of left over tobacco that doesn't make it into the pipe, that I began when I first began smoking a pipe. It is an ever changing Aromatic English/Balkan Mixture... thingy... labeled as Puff'n Stuff. I'm currently having a wonderful smoke of it while watching The Lord Of The Rings: The War Of The Rohirrim.
I have 2 containers like that, one for the English tobaccos and one for all the others and they a both of my favorite smokes.
