First time back at Acton Scott Heritage Farm since Christmas. Collecting and burning fallen timber from yesterday's storm. The ashes should feed the trees in the orchards. Smoking the last crumbs of Peter Heinrich's Dark Strong with some Peterson's Irish Flake, in the Chris Askwith morta Liverpool. With a mug of builder's tea.

A third of a bowl left of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Been busy feeding the ferals. No drama, but Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave were very finicky. They eat less wet food as a result. Tomato only gets wet food three times a day while Daisy gets whatever she wants. Being a feral princess has its perks. At least Abner the Eager and Harry the Hairy, both of whom only get dry food, are always happy about what they eat.

Maiden voyage of this 11’s which arrived last night. As is my tradition for 95.7% of break ins, Peterson Flake is called to order.
Two Peterson firsts for me, the shape and finish. The wife quickly proclaimed it’s her favorite of my growing collection so I guess I did good. I hit add to cart the moment I saw the depth of flame and its orientation, in hand it doesn’t disappoint. Still not a big fan of the stem shape on the deluxe systems but I’ve learned to overlook their awkwardness. I much prefer the B stem shape. Overall I think it’s a sharp pipe and as I’m writing this it’s smoking nicely as a system should. A few smokes and the flake will be excellent in this one.

Happy Robby Burns Day! Nice lookin' piglet! Would die for a haggis or a mealy pudden' myself on this day. Alas, this is Prince George. Not much of a Scottish contingent in this town. More a beer and hot dog town, which ain't all that bad, either. Goes good with a hockey game.

Albeit sunny outside, the wind combined with the 33 deg temp makes it a smoke in the garage day.
Continuing to break in the Ashton Pebble Grain Apple XX with, so far, burley blends.
Today, some ‘22 CD Briar Fox and a mug of Earl Grey tea with honey.
The composition of Briar Fox is very similar to WC Waltham Broken Cake.
Good Saturday one and all!
