Monster size Bari Wiking I’ve owned over 25 years full of PS Luxury Navy Flake.

It’s a third blast, two thirds straight grain. Dynamite smoker, smooth as silk.

The man who looked just like Charlie Rich in Springfield Missouri who sold high end CAO meerschaum pipes also dealt in high end estate pipes.

He said this one came from a lawyer who treated his pipes like babies.

$75 about 1996.

He sold four or five women two to four hundred dollar meerschaums that day while I watched.

It didn’t hurt his sales he looked like Charlie Rich’s twin brother.:)

I don't think I've ever seen a pipe quite that shape before. I like pipes with a back story though. puffy

I was bored today, so I cleaned out a deep drawer, took the pipes out of their bags, and put in the drawer all but three I keep in a travel bag, all arrayed so I can find the one I want in less than fifteen minutes, which was sometimes the result when utilizing my old storage, um, system.

Watch City American Cut Plug in a Kaywoodie. Is this codgering? Am I doing it right? 😂.

You’re a lifer on the forum so I can’t bestow the codger title upon you. If you remained a lurker with no profile picture and one post, your pipe was caked with more lava than Hawaii, and your stems looked like they’d been clenched by a Sabre tooth tiger for 22 straight years then we could talk.

The seller described it as a half bent Duke of Wellington, but another case could be made it’s a half bent Egg.

The shank and lower half of the stem is hollowed out as a condensor and there’s a water trap. That contoured stem has a function. That’s pure Wellington.

But the bowl is rather Eggish.:)

Let’s call it an extra large Egg Wellington.:)
