The man who looked just like Charlie Rich in Springfield Missouri who sold high end CAO meerschaum pipes also dealt in high end estate pipes.
He said this one came from a lawyer who treated his pipes like babies.
$75 about 1996.
He sold four or five women two to four hundred dollar meerschaums that day while I watched.
It didn’t hurt his sales he looked like Charlie Rich’s twin brother.

Sutliff 1M in a Kaywoodie straight apple. Picking up where I left off this morning it seems.
A third of a bowl left of Sam Gawith Burnt Ends in a 2014 Savinelli Gaius smooth brown slight bend 320KS author with a black acrylic military mount ferrule and tapered stem.
Mostly through bowl 101 in the meer. Sutliff Match Victorian for 100 and 101. The dark photo was 100 lol

I was bored today, so I cleaned out a deep drawer, took the pipes out of their bags, and put in the drawer all but three I keep in a travel bag, all arrayed so I can find the one I want in less than fifteen minutes, which was sometimes the result when utilizing my old storage, um, system.

Pegasus in the tekin for bowls 97 and 98.
Breaking in my new Ryan Alden 1/4 bent Rhodesian with well dried Anthology 2023. This is one of a two pipe set I just received from Ryan. It got the blind draw on which to smoke first. The other one is an oval shank apple. Don’t hate me because they’re beautiful

The seller described it as a half bent Duke of Wellington, but another case could be made it’s a half bent Egg.
The shank and lower half of the stem is hollowed out as a condensor and there’s a water trap. That contoured stem has a function. That’s pure Wellington.
But the bowl is rather Eggish.
Let’s call it an extra large Egg Wellington.
A third of the way through this bowl of SWRA in a straight, black sandblasted undated Comoy’s Sunrise Etched Grain straight apple 551 with a black vulcanite saddle stem. This should get me to dinner time.
