I’m not sure if the inserts are the problem. If you zoom in on the pic I posted you’ll be able to see what I mean. It’s almost like the mortise is drilled under the chamber.

Windy again today, 35 mph with gusts up to 70, but got out to have a bowl of Billy Budd Blonde in a Ducca Carlo and some Burgandy to drink.

Way back in the Paleolithic times when I first started pipe smoking (3 years ago) I was really into a blend called Williams Delight by D&R that has since been discontinued. I also threw in a tin of London Dock at some point and it’s still sitting unopened in the cupboard. I’ll have to try it some time.

We went to Jackson Heights in Queens, NY today. I am originally from Eastern part of India and Bangladeshi Food is closer to Eastern Indian Food than what we get in a regular Indian restaurant
We ordered 4 types of fish (Including two types of Indian Shad one of which was a pulao), two types of Bangladeshi Goat Biriyani, Bangladeshi chicken Curry, an East Indian variety of spiced egg stuffed paratha, veggies, lentils and a seasonal dessert eaten traditionally during winter. We ate some, carried rest home.
The we visited the only Bengali language book store in US, and bought a bunch of books. After buying books we planned to shop for something unique, but the books were very heavy to carry, so we decided to come back. It was good, as I saved some money by not shopping.
Overall a good day. We should do this more often

You’re probably right. Either way I’m rehoming it to another forum member who will likely enjoy it more than I. First time I’ve ever done that instead of just chucking it. I just might have a Nobel prize in my future for this munificent deed.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, a little over a pound and a half of French cut pork chops with a buttered baked potato and sweet corn dinner. While it is a good looking piece, Altinay's shaping never really caught my eye. Had it had a more graceful bend and been a lattice it would've really got my attention though.
