I'm half way through this bowl of year 2001 VaPer Three Nuns in a 1938 straight black grain relief Dunhill OX Shell bulldog with a silver band repair with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Larry's Twilight #11, neat, is my drink. Getting a couple of things done before my weekly Sunday pipe zoom.

Good day everyone! Picked up 3" of snow this morning intermittent sunshine now. Couldn't decide which tobacco to smoke, so I dipped into my scraps jar (my "Holmes Jar). In a MM cob. Interesting smoke, with probably 6 different blends in there. Certainly not boring. Not a bad smoke at all. Have a great one friends.View attachment 194866

Just passing the quarter mark on this bowl of first release Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem.

Swr out of an altinay lattice billiard, Sav tre rusticated 104, and now a ropp Etudiant j22. I’m not exactly sure which specific ones of these Ropp Etudiant models were originally drilled for stingers but this one and my j03 certainly weren’t. The draw on them is tighter, which I prefer, to the ones that were originally drilled for a stinger but don’t have one.

Pegasus in a recent production Kaywoodie standard straight apple.

Going to have @Humblepipe ’s Firefly*, a Virginia Perique, with Orientals, and a touch of Stokkebye Black, topped with Jack Daniels and cellared for one year, in an Unknown NOS French, All Briar Billiard with orific bit. The only stamp is “FRANCE” on the right side. I have no idea if this is from the late 19th Century, or Early–Mid 20th Century, but, it’s a cool little pipe. Unfortunately, the largest of original, poorly matched, soft fills fell out on the right side when wiping the pipe down. I filled the voids with some briar dust mixed with medium viscosity, amber coloured cyanoacrylate—the new fills match a bit better, albeit with a bit of dark haloing here and there that’s slightly distracting—I’d have preferred to keep it 100% original, obvious, bad fills, warts and all.
