Marvelous Saturday. Finishing it watching hockey and an evening smoke. Quiet Nights in a Ser Jacopo. First time with this blend was Xmas eve and I was tipsy with fam in a pipe I like but maybe not my best smoker. Enjoyed it but was underwhelmed. Tonight I can see why folks like this one. Not a big Latakia guy but when the mood strikes I can see this being one to reach for and spark. Very nice.View attachment 192986

Wifey and I hung out with the horse today (no work, of course). Bjarne Viking William the Conqueror in my MM Country Gent. Bird report: California quail, California scrub-jay, California towhee, Dark-eyed junco, White-crowned sparrow, California thrasher, and Mountain chickadee. Going to enjoy a lovely dinner of grilled salmon, roasted Brussels sprouts, and mashed potatoes (with some white wine, naturally), and conk out...I'm wiped!

This bowl was in honor of Huell Howser, who passed away 10 years ago today.

Huell was a well loved Nashvillian! His show California's Gold always had great southern charm. I always wondered if he was high.
