Forum Friday in the garage! First, some Nording (McClelland made) Hunter Retriever in a John Wannamaker (made by Comoy's I believe) 484 billiard - sold through the Wilke Pipe Shop in the Wannamaker Building in Philly back in the day. Next, Peterson '21 POY 4AB No. 44 Heritage and, of course, Wilke No. 515 (the double shot). Catching up on here for awhile. Have you sold any?
Have you done commissions yet?
Nope and nope 😁 I’ve made a few for family and friends and most of them I’ve kept for my own use.
I’ve no interest in selling any or doing commissions at this point.
I might eventually get into making some to sell on a “Here’s what it is “ basis , but I will never do commission pipes. I make what I see in the ebuchon and whatever I feel that I may want to try. And I don’t think I can do me with doing commissions. But I doubt I will do anything to sell until after I retire from my job. It’s all just for fun , relaxation and supporting my own PAD😂

Smoking now some HU Bahia O. in a MM corn cob. It's not as old as it looks but it's reliable and trustworthy exactly as it looks, maybe even more, not to mention how much I like it... I love cobs, I could be smoking only those.
I've said that again I think, but repetition is not a minus in this forum, is it?

Friday is close to its end in this part of the world, be well good people!

A new to me blend in an old to me pipe. SG 1792 in a "Denby imported Briar England" that was the first pipe I bought as a broke college kid some 30 years ago. First foray into lakelands...I'm not sure how I feel about this one yet. Have Ennerdale in the cue but may wait for spring for that one.

TGIF! I’ve been fighting an upper respiratory infection the past couple of weeks, so there’s been no smoking going on. I’m feeling much better now, and believe I’ll get a puff in before the wife gets home to disapprove. Rum Flake in a MM William, paired a dram of Sagamore Rye Sherry Cask, to scratch that itch. Have a great evening, all.

Cheers!

C&D Winchester in a Hardcastle clay. Taking my small Hardcastle and my Old Dominion Jamestown clays tomorrow when I go to see the Sealed Knot re-enactment at Nantwich due to the high cost of tobacco in the 17th century.
Leaving the Jamestown clay unsmoked; I feel it's a shame to smoke a new clean white pipe:)
Going to smoke my Winchester and GH brown twist in the Hardcastle clay pipe.

I went to an estate sale today and picked up two estate pipes for four dollars each and a pouch of Hickory tobacco for one dollar. I have no idea on the age of this baccy.
So, smoking some Hickory Tobacco in Grandpa Mac’s 12B, KW Relief Meerschaum Bulldog.
My initial impressions are a very OTC Burley blend. No real prevalent topping flavors noticeable. Subtle earthy, molasses notes- no sweet notes. A smooth Burley Tobacco flavor.
Not as good as Half and Half or Velvet

Going to give my clays and lungs a rest once I've smoked my twist and Winchester; not buying any more pipe baccy until re-enactments start again. I'm definitely going to smoke a clay when I go to see Redcoats & Revolutionaries, Lace Wars or the Sealed Knot this year, as well as the Pirate Mutiny at Matlock Bath. I'll probably need 50g of pipe baccy for the 2 day events...
