Hey ciao connazionale :)
it's like if a new world opened to me.
Toscano cigars were the first cigars I smoked years ago and now I'm smoking them again.
I didn't know about these cimette, which are cigar cuttings, and make a good tobacco pipe, I definitely want to try them. I guess they're also pretty cheap since they are "byproducts"?
I'm afraid they're not readily available in Spain but I will look for them when I go to Italy.
Ciao Chris! :)
In Italy many put pieces of Toscano in a pipe, crumbled or using a section equal to the height of the bowl (this small diameter) then pressing with the thumb to widen the whole. The resulting smoke has a high strength, and perhaps that is why the "Cimette di Brissago" (being mixed with Virginia) have a lot of support. The Tornabuoni Cimette (CTS) are found in Italy, but being literally spikes of their Toscano (already strong for their characteristics) in the pipe they have a very high strength. I have read that some members buy from Synjeco which is distributor "Cimette Brissago", and probably with an order they can be obtained online.
Brissago are more convenient, because 7 oz. they cost $ 20.64, compared to 1.7 oz. by CTS for $ 17.

I've just realised its the camera angle of your selfies that makes all your pipes look humongous! Lol. I thought all your pipes were group twelves or something.?
I've got a 313, looks half the size of yours! As you say, it smokes very well. ?

Earlier, I had some PS Sweet Vanilla in my Nuttens rhodog.

yeh, yeh, yeh…. Now I am having some five year old cardboard in my Hilson Billiard. I think of it as just another VaBur, with maybe some perique added to make it taste less like cardboard. The tin note when first opened is a lot like wet cardboard. You could say…. I was craving some cardboard. But, the tin label and the nice little coins makes it pretty…. cardboard. puffy

Love these pics hope you and your wife are getting some rest with your new little one?
I’m glad you enjoy the pics. It’s kind of turning into a little hobby for me. I especially enjoy being able to get pictures when I am out and about with my pipe. Sofia has such beautiful scenes to capture.

As far as the sleep goes, we have definitely had more restful seasons of life.
