Wessex Gold Brick in a Chacom sandblast billiard. For me this stuff is better than any of the F&T flakes. The only down side is you have to cut it.

I heard it’s not safe to smoke a meerschaum outside when cold because the heat can crack the bowl? I have my first and from the looks of it, it’s ok. What’s the truth?

This article on Meerschaum pipes from the Pipe and Tobacco Information Service (September 1974) doesn't say anything about smoking outdoors vs. indoors but has some useful info on care of same

Love this blend, and luckily I have quite a bit set back with age on it.

Braving the teen temperatures in the garage for a bowl of Davidoff Scottish in a Chacom. Two years in a Mason jar has really improved the blend. Very nice room note as well.

I've about a quarter of a bowl left of year 2013 Capstan Blue in a 2015 Ryan Alden quarter bend burgundy sandblasted Queen of Hearts freehand with a black acrylic saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Awesome info on the blend Rathbone smoked, I did not know that. Also awesome pipe! I know these 4AB were released as pipes of the year but I cant find any available for purchase in the US... they sold out quick, but I'm still looking.

Try eBay and other like sources. Eventually, one will turn up because a few already have.

…with a bowl of Verge Engine Santa Drive in the Brigham Mountaineer straight apple. I don’t see many people talking about this blend… hmmm… somewhere someone on the forum is gigging “he fell for it.” ? Why yes, yes I did. But, I quite enjoy it. Fool me some more please. And the heresy in such a cheap pipe… ? why, is that a compass up there or a cheap Czech tool? Santa gives those to all his helper elves. ?

After reading that now I’m hungry
