C&D Derringer bulk in an MM Legend. Later I'm going to experiment with drying St Bruno. Straight out of the pouch I love the sauce but wind up with unlightable damp dottle and wasted tobacco. The other night I dried a portion overnight but got very little sauce, but the base leaf was very good and smoked to the bottom. I must find a happy medium in this dry climate (Arizona)!

Load it in the pipe and let it dry that way. Works for me.

I'd like to see how long I can make a clay pipe of baccy last but it either kept going out or burned too hot...

2020 Cringle Flake in a paneled Meer. I'm sure I've had this pipe since the mid-90s (no later than '96), bought outside of St. Louis. With the stem, it is fair to call this my most elegant pipe. With a cup of coffee and the usual work.

@edger I found St Bruno a bit damp straight from the pouch (in a clay of course); wasting soldier's rations is a definite no!!!

Did a set of walking reps, and smoked a bowl of D&R Ryback in a smooth straight late 1970s Charatan Special 4148DC Reg. No. 203573 pot with a black double comfort vulcanite stem. Time for a very late lunch on this busy day.

Frasermac (and Ettrick puffer), there is a Scottish pub in Athens, not far from where I live. We have been there once, on a day like this and had the traditional menu with the "ritual" at the start...
It's great to have Poets days, and Robert Burns (1759 – 1796) belongs to the greatests.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am smoking year 2001 VaPer Three Nuns in a 1938 straight black grain relief Dunhill OX Shell bulldog with a silver band repair with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Lavazza Espresso, neat, is my drink.
