C&D Derringer bulk in an MM Legend. Later I'm going to experiment with drying St Bruno. Straight out of the pouch I love the sauce but wind up with unlightable damp dottle and wasted tobacco. The other night I dried a portion overnight but got very little sauce, but the base leaf was very good and smoked to the bottom. I must find a happy medium in this dry climate (Arizona)!

I've never tried St. Bruno but when I want to smoke a wet tobacco and don't have the patience to wait I put one of those mesh balls in the bottom of the bowl. I'm able to smoke all of the tobacco and the excess moisture is left at the bottom. Its the only use I've found for the handful of those I have sitting around.

About a third of a bowl left of Wilke No. 515 in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This was the blend Basil Rathbone smoked.

Going to see Redcoats & Revolutionaries at Cromford Mill on the last weekend in May:
I'm taking one of my Jamestown clay pipes with me and have been in conversation with other forum members about suitable pipe baccy.
I've been recommended to order some Fusilier's Ration, Patriot Flake and Yorktown among others; anyone else suggest suitable blends to smoke in my Jamestown clays???
