Just opened a tin of Peterson 2019 special reserve, it’s a coffee/chocolate topping. Very nice actually, the topping is light and evolves with the smoke. I was worried because it’s a hundred gram tin and the last Seasonal Reserve I got (GH’s) was a total bust. Standard bulldog Falcon.
Enjoying now,D&R- AB Rimboché,in corn pipe Diplomat,and hot infusion ginger..................

I’m going for a walk with the hurricane packed Kendal Scotch Flake, I’ve rubbed out a few coins of Peterson De Luxe Navy Rolls in my dish for my return. Never tried it but it’s supposed to be identical to the Dunhill version.

A friend supplied me with some ten year old Captain Earl's Nightwatch. Smoking it in a Wiley Old Oak poker. The Lat has mellowed beautifully, but still a full, complex smoke.
Sorry it wasn’t Scotch Flake but Kendal Louisiana medium Perique Flake, I got several samples this week. Very light on the Perique and topped with chocolate that you get out of the bag but not the smoke. Pretty mediocre in my opinion. About to fire up my Navy Rolls in a Rocky Bulldog, rum and grapefruit with Angostura on the side.
Just finished a bowl of Five Brothers in a MM Country Gentleman with a "forever" stem.

Started my 3 day weekend with The Amphora Burley in a Rossi 8111. Now burning Sutliff 507 Virginia Slices in a Rossi Notte 606. Enjoyed/enjoying both smokes very much.
