Tonight I smoked a blend of my own making that had been simmering for 2 years. Pipe was a Bertram pot. I combined 3 oz Of Low Country Virginia-Oriental with 0.25 oz of latakia, 0.75 DFK, and added 1/4 tsp essential oil of Pine and a tbs of pampero rum. It turned out better than I could imagine.... A very smooth, spicy, lightly smoky blend. The pine was a wisp at most.

Just finished a bowl of C&D Big and Burley and now lighting a bowl from my “leftover” jar. This one has Queen Anne Revenge, Haunted Bookshop, and Exclusive in it. It makes for a very nice change of pace that has some punch to it. Smoking in a Peterson Meerschaum with a sterling silver band, and a stem that I really need to work on 1309F8FB-30A4-447E-9E0E-977D1128714C.jpeg

That makes sense! I was wondering why one pipe maker would sell a competitor's pipes under a completely different badge.
I almost bought a couple “Peterson” pipes off eBay but couldn’t figure out why they said “imported briar”. There is I think a post on PetersonPipeNotes about Peterson LTD.
