A quarter of the way through this bowl of Hearth & Home Bright Night (Slow Aged Series) in a 2002 straight grain Karl Erik Ekstravagant A medium bend freehand sitter with a small horn ferrule accent and black acrylic saddle stem. Phone chatting about baseball.

Lifelong Astros fan here, since the early 1970s. Siiiiigggghhhh.

Hiding my sorrows in the smoke of Sutliff Ready Rubbed Match in a MM cob.

Well, I’m not smoking it yet, but I was down the basement going through some totes and stumbled across this... figured well it’s about time. So set some out dry out for this evening. Fermented raisins, dates smell in my den smells wonderful.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am now smoking Hearth & Home Smoky Mountain (Slow Aged Series) in a smooth briar calabash shape 1984 Fero Danese made in Italy with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Watching Mad Dog Russo, and working on reviews of the two new H&H Slow Aged blends.

2014 Esoterica Stonehaven (recently purchased from hiplainsdrifter [he still has some for sale]). With all of the hundreds of tobaccos that I have smoked, this is the first time with this blend (yes, it is damn hard to find). To do it justice, I am smoking it in an unsmoked mid-70s Barling Londoner Standard #6279 Straight (Flat) Pot with a saddle bit.
