Carter Hall in a GBD rockroot saddle billiard that is hanging on to its place in my main rotation by the skin of its teeth. It sometimes gurgles about a third of the way into a bowl, but then smokes dry and clean the rest of the way down.
Now smoking Art’s Virginia in a 1980s White Pipe straight, smooth rhodesian meerschaum with an acrylic yellow cream colored saddle stem. Phone chatting with Art, who also gifted me the pipe.
Thanks mate. It seems well made, light (so I'm guessing they used fairly decent block) and smokes very well. I believe it's either Altinay or Altinok who make the bowls and the candy edition stems are made by Eldritch pipes.
As for the tenon mine's a 9mm and is a push fit but I don't know about the regular ones as I haven't seen any of those.
A couple of minutes away from smoking Watch City Rouxgaroux in a 1999 medium bend black sandblast Savinelli Tris 677KS apple with a tapered cumberland stem. This should get me to dinner time.
Smoking the first bowl of a new blend for me, Rattray's Westminster Abbey with the first smoke of a new pipe, a Mr. Brog Hobbit No. 56 & a glass of fizzy lemonade.
A tiny bowl of Dunhill Royal Yacht in a tiny Willard.
I was drying my next tobacco, and added a pinch of Royal Yacht for some strength. Then I thought - why don’t I smoke Royal Yacht in its own while the next tobacco dries
A bowl of G&h Sweet Cherry Twist in a 1977 Dunhill Bruyere 623 sort of wishing I had Jim taste buds right now because I can hardly tell the difference between this and the rum twist. The rum is more mellow and richer.
