Damn good Virginia for the money, hope it makes the cut or gets back on their list.

507C is my personal favorite Virginia! I bought 3 pounds of it when I got wind that it was going away, so I should be well set on it for a good decade or two, though apparently Peter Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake is the same blend just with a little different cut so it'll still be around in some capacity. Personally I always thought Luxury Navy Flake was a little different, but who am I to argue with the guy who makes the stuff?puffy

Initially I was planning to ride into work this morning but I remembered i had a package come in from smoking pipes earlier this week. I picked up several blends, during the C&D 20% off sale, to try that many here seem to enjoy.

Therefore, on the menu for today's morning commute was C&D Exclusive loaded in my Sav 127 paired with a delightfully black coffee. In the immortal words of the king 🤴 🎶 I'm in love, I'm all shook up! 🎶

Hope you all have a fantastic Friday!

I haven’t decided whether to smoke Balkan Sobranie or Special Latakia Flake tonight. I’m going to load it into this old cob: it was my first pipe. My sister bought it for me from Walgreens when I was 15 along with Borkum Riff cherry. I I snuck outside and smoked it in the dark hahaha. I still have that old cob so I’m using it tonight 24 years later.
Interesting. The first pipe tobacco I bought when I started pipe smoking again (I did at first as a result, as did so many others, in the 70's, when I was in university) because of the frat scenes in the completely gross, and tasteless movie masterpiece "National Lampoon's Animal House"), was Borkum Riff Cherry Cavendish, which is one of my favourites. I regularly smoke it in a cob.too! Good on you! 😃

The combination just works! And if you haven't seen that flick, do so. Yeah, we were really like that at UBC back then. Matter of fact, think I'll dig the movie out. I have a copy on VHS and an old video machine and am gonna watch it tonight, maybe along with Clint's "Highplains Drifter" which I have on Beta, lol! 🤣 Retro is wonderful!

She is! I sent her a picture of it because I don't know if she even remembers buying it for me. She was an enabler of the best kind in those days hahaha. She bought me plenty of other age-restricted items. I became infatuated with the idea of pipe smoking from all the Tolkien books I gorged myself on in those days. I bet she didn't think I'd still be doing it all these years later.
Your posts have made my day! You need to get yourself a McQueen Longstem to really get into Tolkein. I always smoke my "Dwarf" when watching the flicks! hehehe. 🤣

Half way through this bowl of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Fed everybody except for the absent Abner the Eager. I'm sure he'll be around before long.
