- Nice pipe. Did you discover whether there is anything exclusive about C&D Exclusive? Never had opportunity to try it myself but I find, personally, the room note of some tobaccos excludes company. Is that it?Received my Estate purchase from SP this afternoon along with 2 ounces of C&D Exclusive (had to see what’s so exclusive about it).
Keeping with the Flaketastic theme I prepared and packed my Peterson 87 Sportsman with some WC Old dominion for an after evening feeding/dinner smoke.
Been searching for an 87 Short Army or Sportsman for awhile.
This pipe is in great shape. Hasn’t seen much use.
CS Cowboy Coffee in a Grabow. Not sure about this blend so far, feels a bit weak and I would like the DFK to be a bit more forward. But it’s not terrible. With coffee

Just finished smoking well aged Art’s Virginia in a 1980s White Pipe straight, smooth Rhodesian meerschaum with an acrylic yellow cream colored saddle stem. The pipe and tobacco were gifts from my late friend Art Arterburn. The blend is 80% McClelland Va.s and 20% McClelland burley. 4Noggins sold it for several years.
Straight out of the new tin, Union Square (2024) in a Savinelli Tundra Canadian that I refinished with iron nitrite and linseed oil/pine resin varnish. I have several tins from 0-5 years of this blend, but its very good brand new.

Several members are ardent fans of Exclusive and banter about its virtues.
Since the estate pipe was $80, I decided to include some pipe cleaners and a baccy I wanted to try to get to the, all too effective, marketing ploy of SP for free shipping.
So, I decided to get some Exclusive to see what all the hubbub is about

Chenet’s cake in a tiny pot by Manduela. I’ve heard it’s more difficult to create small pipes, this one is done with expert precision.
1/2 bowl of Peter Stockebye #96 London Export cigarette tobacco (virginia) in the Peterson pub pipe with 9mm filter. I was running low on tobacco and bought this brand and some Rouseco Golden Harvest Silver to try and fill the gap. While the RGHS is very mild its a bit bland and doesn't really develop any flavor until the second half of a bowl. The #96 is overwhelming flavor right from the Start and far stronger. Its closer to pipe tobacco. I'm not advocating but if you were in a pinch ...the #96 is a very good flavorful smoke. I would buy that again but not RGHS. In fact I may try other PS blends now.
On today's menu was Warped Saint Espresso in my Pete with a black coffee.
