Passing the quarter mark of this bowl of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a 2002 smooth top, black sandblasted quarter bend military mount Karl Erik Ekstravagant horn with a horn insert in the ferrule and black acrylic stem.
St Bernard’s Flake in a Bekler Meer, bit overcast weather wise but at least it’s dry.
Sutliff Danish Cavendish in a no name Italian basket billiard. This pipe is a perfect billiard with a smooth finish and its stem is superb. Stems are so important to the enjoyment of a pipe. I much prefer vulcanite to acrylic.
Do you know when they stopped making this? Ive always been so curious about that tobacco.
My last nighttime bowl before trying sleep was a late attempt at meerschaum Monday, early on a Tuesday, with my cheap pirate from a Balkan maker, Prokoc, through a pipe and accessories seller who isn't a forum sponsor. Sent him to me by mistake with another order, and offered a discount, so I decided to keep him. Excellent smoker. MM's Missouri Pride VaBur was the smoke. Not much to be proud of, IMO. Not bad, just boring compared to other favorites in the category.
Curiosity-driven smoke, raggedy end of some Cabbie's mixed with Three Nuns in my 1960 group 3 Dunhill Shell billiard. The Kentucky sticks out like a sore thumb, not sure it's a winner but worth trying.
Enjoyed a light low calorie snack, and then smoked a bowl of year 2012 Esoterica Dorchester in a straight smooth brown 1920s KBB Rocky Briar 1582 patent no.298978 with a B in a circle bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Been enjoying quiet reading time.
Now smoking Watch City American Cut Plug Mixture in a year 2021 straight black sandblasted Peterson Ragaire 150 bulldog with an unmounted army mount tapered acrylic cumberland fish tail stem. Haven't smoked this pipe lately, but I like the pipe.
Last smoke of the day is year 2020 Angler's Dream in a 1984 Stanwell Antique 124 egg with a smooth brown front and a black sandblasted back with a dark gold ferrule and black vulcanite stem in the military mount style. Just fed Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger, and am reading while this bowl lasts. Daisy the Feral Princess is snoozin' on her blanket. The others are outside somewhere.
dang ! I love these Dunhills especially how their stems are, and light weight to size
