Tonight I’m sampling outside of my comfort zone. Won a large auction a couple of weeks ago and the tin of Amphora Scotch Whiskey that came with it turned out to be nearly full. I was surprised that even though it had been opened at one point, the tobacco was actually in really good condition. After a week in a mason jar with a Boveda, it’s nice and moist. Any old timers guesstimate what era this is from?

It must be from before 1998, Douwe Egberts sold its tobacco related production to Imperial Tobacco in that year.

Trying Samuel Gawith Cannon Plug for the first time, in a Falcon twister. I have no idea what this blend is flavored with, but it tastes just like Christmas time always smelled around my grandma's house growing up and it's kind of amazing!
