I've passed the last third of this bowl of first release Watch City Rhythm & Blues in a straight smooth brown 1920s-30s Sasieni patent 8 dot Marborough lovat with a black vulcanite saddle stem.

Getting ready to watch UFC 312, Dricus Du Plessis vs. Sean Strickland (a rematch), for the Men’s Middleweight title, taking place at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia. I suspect the co-main, Weili Zhang vs. Tatiana Suarez, for the Women’s Strawweight title, might be more interesting. Having Seattle Pipe Club Hogshead in an Unbranded, Rusticated, Octagonal Paneled Magnum. This 10" behemoth sports a 1.125" wide chamber. It doesn’t quite have the shank curve to be an LC, but it comes close with its overall profile. Being eight-sided, with a huge chamber, makes it a perfect UFC pipe for me. This one pipe will last through the prelims, main card, and post show. Our friend, John, is visiting. He’s also having Hogshead.

Tried Mac Baren Dark Twist Roll Cake for the first time; smoked in my Peterson Dublin bulldog. Really nice blend - 4/5 to start. Light maple sweetness really accentuates the Virginias, and there's an occasional hint of DFK. I bought a full pound of this on spec, given that the blend may apparently be going away and am glad that I did.

I've passed the first quarter of this bowl of year 2013 Capstan Blue Flake in a smooth dark brown post-WWII Comoy’s Grand Slam 340 patent billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This may get me to dinner time.

I popped a tin of 15-year-old University Flake to smoke in my Peterson Donegal Rocky B7 during the Saturday afternoon ZOOM meeting with my pipe buddies. I've never smoked it on its own, as I usually mix it with Full Virginia Flake, Syrian Latakia and other components for my "Dino's Mixture".
This iteration of University Flake was quite wonderful, still somewhat moist in the tin and a very pleasant smoke.
I had a mug of black coffee as my beverage.
