So, gotta ask. 8/10 on the Drew Estate blend? Or on washing the horse? Inquiring equestrians wanna know.
Fair question! 8/10 on the blend, 10/10 on the horse washing. Any time I stay clean and dry when he shakes excess water off is 10/10. Oh, and not dropping my pipe, that's a factor too.

Earlier, I smoked a bowl of year 2008 Astley’s No. 109 Medium Flake in a straight black 1963 Dunhill LB Shell 4S billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem.

Then, I smoked a bowl of year 2014 Dan Tobacco Hamborger Veermaster in a smooth straight brown 1950 Dunhill 48 bulldog group 4 root briar with a black vulcanite fish tail saddle stem.

Currently, I am near the last quarter of this bowl of year 2021 first production Watch City Simply Orange Virginia in a black sandblast medium bend Peterson POTY 4AB No. 182/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem.

For some godforsaken reason I feel myself entirely compelled to go smoke some year-old L.J. Peretti’s 150th Anniversary Flake out in the 10°F, 27 MPH gusting weather. And yes, I know how lucky I am that my Id picked such a totally easy-burning blend that is definitely and completely real fucking gentle on the tongue when smoked quickly.
Wish me luck!

Just now finished the virgin smoke of this Mastro de Paja model Classica straight, octagonal panel billiard with square shank and quasi-military mount, with C&D Small Batch Eight State Burley cellared from May 6, 2021. And yes, for those with sharp eyes, it was indeed unsmoked, but as with almost all light stained pipes on first smoke, we have already have the dreaded, slight rim darkening. But we got 'em to smoke, right?
